First Rule of GOP Fight Club: completely f#ck something up, blame someone else.

people keep acting like PBO is a king and not the head of one of the threeeee branches of government

Source. They also specified that they’re not allowed to transfer prisoners out of Guantanamo.

Also worth remembering, Obama is the head of the branch that enforces laws. Not the one that makes them. That’s the legislature.

Why yes, Yes I do.

Indeed I do!

I do!  I do support it!

This might actually be the worst ad I’ve seen.

these are everywhere in my city and I laugh every damn time I see them.

OMG I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN AD FOR OBAMA. THIS IS A REPUBLICAN AD. I CANNOT BREATHE

You know you’ve failed at advertising when you produce an ad that is unlikely to sway anyone in any direction.

This isn’t an ad; it’s a Rorschach test.

The fact is the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15. Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, floods — all are now more frequent and more intense. We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy and the most severe drought in decades and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen were all just a freak coincidence.

Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science — and act before it’s too late. …I urge this Congress to get together, (and) pursue a bipartisan, market-based solution to climate change, like the one John McCain and Joe Lieberman worked on a few years ago. But, if Congress won’t act soon to protect future generations, I will. I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take now and in the future to reduce pollution, prepare our communities for the consequences of climate change, and speed the transition to more sustainable sources of energy.

For some people having a brain is a lot like having a fondue set.  They are nice to have but they never actually use it.

WTF?
…No, seriously, what the almighty fuck?
I want to laugh at the stupidity, but it makes me too sad.

This photo of service members with their same-sex partners at the Inaugural Ball is making me teary for reasons I can’t explain. Maybe because this was the first inauguration since we repealed Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Maybe because these brave individuals finally got to celebrate a historic moment with the person they love. “Our journey is not complete.” —President Obama

gaywrites:

After all the controversy about an anti-gay pastor being selected and then leaving the lineup for the president’s inauguration, LGBT activists will now have something to look forward to.

The Rev. Luis Leon, an Episcopal priest in Washington, will deliver the benediction at the inauguration next week. He ministers the church the Obama family visits most frequently, and it’s reported to be a pretty welcoming place:

Leon’s own parish is known for welcoming openly gay members. The church, which has openly gay, non-celibate priests and has had a gay bishop, announced this summer that it would bless same-sex partnerships and ordain transgender priests. This month, the Washington National Cathedral, an Episcopal church, announced that it would also begin same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Ah, this is good news.

I just thought of something. If Jesus was born today…in Bethlehem, how accepting would Americans be of him? A 32-year-old man from Palestine who speaks Hebrew and tells you to give all your money to the poor?
